The Little Garden That Could

Admittedly, I have neglected my pet project written about here. I went out of town for a month. I haven't weeded or watered it, except on a few very rare occasions. I don't even have those silver tomato plant holder-upper things around my tomato plants. And yet, somehow, my ghetto-fabulous, neglected garden has produced it's first crop.

Behold, the cucumbers:

There are more little cucumbers on the vine and there are also quite a lot of tiny cantaloupes growing. My super huge tomato plants (I don't ever remember tomato plants being 5 feet tall!!) are starting to produce some tomatoes, as well. When all is said and done, I might actually have garnered about $6.25 worth of produce from all my (lack-of) hard work. Way to go, Mother Nature!!

I would like to have a garden someday...when I'm not in a house I'm just going to move out of in 2 yrs. My mother in law just left, but she brought me a ton of produce from her garden. It's so yummy! Much better than store produce.
